Joanne is great as she is an athlete herself and she knows athletes. If you are an athlete and you do not seek out yoga for the 'solitude' and meditative aspects solely then this DVD is for you. She gets right the point and works on common problem areas of many runners, triathletes and cyclists. A great cross-training/stretching tool you can use anytime!

Cross Training Yoga is a program designed for athletes of all levels, especially those engaged in endurance sports like running, cycling, and swimming. Joanna teaches a balanced, athletic flow yoga program divided into essential sequences that promote flexibility, strength, and mindful focus for excellence in multisport activities. The program is led by Joanna Williamson, MS, RYT. Joanna has been involved in teaching athletes of various ages and disciplines since 1991. She holds a masters degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana, is an ACSM Exercise Specialist, and a registered yoga teacher. She lives in Austin, TX with her fellow triathlete husband and athletic twin boys. While yoga can be a highly spiritual experience, this DVD focuses on the no-nonsense practical aspects of yoga for athletes. With straightforward instruction, this DVD will give an edge to the serious cross-training athlete.
