This is a 3 disc programme. The first two discs have 5 ten minute routines on them, each have Upper Body, Lower Body, Cardio, Pilates (abs) and Yoga (stretching). Those two discs have the same order of routines but each routine is different (different abs to the first disc etc). Within those routines, I find it's a little short to be of major benefit. I think that if you do it on a regular basis though, you will feel better and possibly look better, but you should be looking for a minimum cardio workout of 30 minutes.
Chris is a friendly instructor. She has a body to motivate you. She over uses the word 'awesome', but she's motivating and outgoing and offers words of encouragement.
The third disc has tips on healthy eating and lifestyle and that's a great little bonus. Each of the first two discs has a bonus 'conversation with Chris', but that is the same recording on both discs.
Overall, this workout is good (to add to your existing routine). The thing I like most about it is that EVERYONE can find 10 minutes to do even one routine. It's not that hard to do. You will need a stability ball, weights and they use those elastic bands, but I do this with the weights, and they use a step for the cardio. This is worth a go for sure, especially if you are a beginner or if you want to add a little extra to your existing routines or if you are very time crunched.

I have tried 5 out of the 7 so far and they really give me a workout. No confusing dance routines. I tried them for about 10 days and saw dramatic results. Jeanette will certainly challenge you and get you in shape. You should give it a try and you will see what I'm talking about.

I own and use this DVD. If I had to own only one teachers DVD instruction for kettlebells...this would be the one. It is detailed, clear, specific, and accurate. Steve is an outstanding athlete and what makes this DVD so good is that Steve is also an exceptional teacher. Numerous of my students have ordered and enjoyed these DVDs. Navigating through the various DVDs is easy. Each movement being taught is shown from several angles with minimal camera movement. This makes it much easier to see what Steve is demonstrating.
Steve puts lots of focus on detailed descriptons of the most efficient way to do each kettlebell lift. I find that I refer back to these DVDs regularly to refine my own skills. Truly a worthwhile investment for everyone wanting outstanding instruction in the art and science of kettlebell lifting.
Get series 1 today, put the principles and skills Steve teaches into practice, and you'll experience significant gains in a very short period of time. I would give these DVDs a ten star if I could.

I'm an experienced Pilates student and like the Stott style. Recently I got very ill. I lost so much muscle and weight, it's been a tough recovery. I started back to Pilates with these DVD's figuring they would be gentle. The first difference I noticed was feeling less blue. This helped motivate me to do more in life and with Pilates. I'll be graduating to the Fitness Circle workouts soon. These DVD's have been a great beginning.
Clear instruction, each DVD completely different than the other.

This DVD is really the cure to workout boredom. It's over 120+ one minute exercises vary each time to put in the DVD, so you'll even begin to look forward to seeing which one is chosen each time. You can vary both the length of your workout and the intensity - which various time intervals and a beginning and advanced skill level. You can also choose to focus on a specific area - such as upper body, lower body, and total body. I've read some of the reviewers say they didn't find this one challenging, but I found that I did - especially when I played the DVD for at least 20 minutes or more. I liked the options to workout in less time as well, as sometimes it's just a nice compliment to another workout. This DVD offers so much variety I'd say it would fit nicely into any routine.

The price tag for this DVD is a little steep but worth every penny! I have other "how to do it" DVD's on hockey skating, and they are pretty good but not in the same league with this one. Laura's book, together with this DVD cover everything you need to know. Doesn't matter if you are using it to teach yourself, or somebody else she very effectively covers this complicated issue in a clear, easy way to understand. Even if you are already a good skater and want to improve your game...this is it.
So...why did I get this DVD? I am teaching my 9 yr. old to play hockey. I have never coached before and wanted a 'bible' to use as refrence so I bought Laura's accompanying book (same title). The book is a wee bit 'dry' and difficult to use with a kid. Getting the DVD was the best thing I could have done to help him understand what it takes to become an accomplished and powerful skater. The skaters who demonstrate the basic techniques on the DVD are perfect for showing what to do and what not to do.
Parents, coaches and players...get this book. You will not be sorry!

This workout is a collaboration between Miranda Esmonde-White, founder of the Classical Stretch technique, and her daughter, Sahra Esmonde-White. Miranda does not appear in the workout itself; rather, Sahra is shown as the lead demonstrator while Miranda instructs via voiceover. During the brief introduction, Sahra explains that the workout, which is designed for athletes to increase flexibility, is more lower body focused; this was my first disappointment, as the web site, [...], suggests a more lengthy upper body segment than is actually included on this DVD. Miranda notes that the exercises in the DVD are meant to be "progressive"--ie, you should not perform the segments out of order or independently of each other. Finally, Miranda recommends using the DVD 2-3 times per week for best results.
In addition to the Intro and Participants descriptions, the Main Menu offers options to select individual chapters (Standing/Floorwork/Barrework/Splits) or Play All. When you make your selection, you also have the choice of instruction with both Music & Voice, Music Only, or Voice only. Sahra works out with a group of 2-5 other athletes (the number varies for each segment) in a large, very bright studio with full windows in the background (in fact, the light coming in from the windows is a bit TOO bright, making the participants appear dark).

This DVD provides a good visual introduction to the concepts introduce in the book Stretch to Win. Subtle aspects of the stretching method are much easier to pick up via video. Well worth the money.
