(More customer reviews)I met Steven Munatones at swim meet around a year ago and had a chance to talk to him about Open Water Swimming. He is truly an Open Water Swimming Guru. When I heard he created this new DVD, I had to get it.
I am a swim coach and have been getting our swimmers more and more involved in Open Water Swimming. I have used this DVD to show the team exactly what they are getting ready to do. It is the only Open Water Swimming DVD that I have found that shows real race footage, so close that you can almost feel the chill of the water.
When you go to an Open Water event, you never actually see the what the swimmers are doing, so it is hard to teach your swimmers. One great example is the turn footage. From the shore, it is impossible to understand the frantic swimming that goes on around the buoy. The video goes into a lot of detail on how to manage this situation.
The narrator is a bit odd, but the content is great.
If you are an open water swimmer, or thinking of trying it...this is a must.
