Sparring: Tips, Tactics & Techniques to Dominate Your Opponent Review

Sparring: Tips, Tactics and Techniques to Dominate Your Opponent
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've been looking forward to a DVD on sparring for ages, and this is now on my list of favorites by Sammy Franco. If you've ever sparred with a more formidable opponent, you already know why, too. Unless you're a boxer, you don't spar for the sake of sparring. You spar in order to learn and benefit from the skills and attributes you can improve that will make you a better fighter. But like Mr. Franco says in the DVD, when you're a beginner or if you're sparring with someone more advanced than you, you go into "survival mode". You defend as much as possible, try to land a few hits every now and then, and hope for the best. You don't learn much, frankly. But it doesn't have to be that way.
This DVD will teach you the skills you need in order to start learning and to ultimately dominate your sparring partners. You will feel more confident and wonder how it is you ever sparred without these techniques in your arsenal. Oh... and you will LOVE the "steamroller" and "cover & crush" techniques!

An outstanding self defense program! The concepts are cleary explained and illustrated. Sammy Franco is truly a leader in the "reality based self defense" world and this program proves it. The techniques taught in Widowmaker will actually work in real world, life or death, situations. If you are serious about learning to defend yourself, there is simply no equal to Sammy Franco's Contemporary Fighting Arts and the Widowmaker Program. I was very, very impressed with Widowmaker and I highly recommend this purchase.

Savage Street Fighting: Tactical Savagery As a Last Resort Review

Savage Street Fighting: Tactical Savagery As a Last Resort
Average Reviews:

OMG! When I watched this DVD I was stunned. I actually had adrenaline charging through me. The methods are so invasive and primal I was shocked.
Pictures paint a thousand words, and the cover tells it like it is: Brutal, devastating, final.
There is no way the opponent can handle this type of systematic over-kill of their body and mind.It is instantly understood and can be used by anyone determined to win against all odds.
Think you have seen it all folks? I doubt it. But be warned: this takes self preservation further than every other system or martial art and should only be used when you are faced with high level danger. No one can prepare or condition themselves to handle this kind of self defense.
Truly primal. Truly a winning strategy.

Cold Steel Warriors Edge Dvd Review

Cold Steel Warriors Edge Dvd
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Disregard the review of the "a reader from Illinois". Other than their tasteless attacks on the moral integrity and character of Instructor Thompson, their review is simply the views of a mind twisted by beliefs that aggressors lives have equal value to that of the victim, and that only police forces have the rights to intercept occurring crimes with lethal force. Simply put, the view of the typical socialist, who does not believe that one has the right to defend their life, liberties or properties. I am quite certain that this "reader" feels that a woman or possible lone bystander must simply allow said woman to be raped by a group of unarmed men, simply because they do not intend to kill her and do not possess a weapon. Anyone with any shred of sanity who realises that sometimes you are the only one that can save you, will greatly appreciate this no nonsense approach to street fighting with a blade and I make a special mention that this is perfect for women.
Despite his allegedly "uneducated" accent, courtesy of our friend "reader", Instructor Thompson provides an incredibly detailed insight to the world of realistic knife fighting. This DVD set covers absolutely everything you could possibly need in a dire situation in regards to long ranged knife fighting. I especially liked how he would explain why what he is teaching you is so important. For example, he makes it clear that unlike many combat situations, footwork is more vital than any other aspect. He goes on to explain that provided your knife is shaving sharp (which he discusses in depth also, with a particularly unsettling story that occurred involving a blunt blade to prove the point), no strength is require and therefore being able to move fast on the feet to evade, retreat and pursue are more important. I found this nice as it motivates you to do things which are otherwise tiresome and lead you to neglect them. I also love how he provides activities and ideas to incorporate the techniques into interesting, effective drills.
Other great aspects of this DVD set include additional knowledge and skills not taught in knife fighting schools. For example, he goes on to teach you techniques using the point of a blade, which he mentions is often neglected in most arts. And clearly what our biased little friend must have missed for his review is that Instructor Thompson does teach less-than-lethal tactics. One such occasion, Instructor Thompson clearly states the aim of learning the tactic of dragging the point of a blade on an aggressor is not to seriously injury or kill them, but to cause them pain and instill enough fear to encourage them to cease attacking you.
I have more than a decade of martial experience, and I speak from experience that this DVD set is the most bang for your buck when you compare the knowledge given to you at the price you pay. Everything is easy to learn, uncomplicated to execute and from what I have gathered in sparring works a treat. It is designed to work in the real world, regardless of your strength, sex or age. I cannot recommend anything better than this, and I cannot understand why you would bother looking anywhere else. You will not find anything better than this, period. I can absolutely guarantee that if you are serious about realistic self-defense, you will be thoroughly impressed and well equipped to survive.

Skills of Hapkido Review

Skills of Hapkido
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've practice Hapkido for several years and I find this video to be a good reference tool. How many videos out there would give you a detail explanation of the concepts (i.e. where to grip, where to apply pressure, how to perform a specific movement, etc.) before they show you how to execute each skill in its entirety? This dvd does that. I appreciate that they cover these little details in close up and diagrams. And it doesn't rush through the skills. I think it spends on average about 3 mins or more on each skill.
It is true that this video won't cover tons of skills though. I can see why some people may get upset over this if they were expecting an all inclusive video curriculum. But like its title said, it's an "introductory / intermediate GUIDE". And I think overall it delivers.
I think what it lacks in volume it makes up for in quality. I personally like the picture-in-picture close ups. I thought it makes it much easier to understand when I can see the entire body's movement in wide angle while focusing on the key movement in close up.
Bottom line, here are the pros and cons:
Cons: I'd like to see more skills. The voice over instruction is clear, but I'd like to hear the master himself explains the skills (I think English is not his native language). This is Not for those looking to learn Hapkido entirely from a video (I don't think that's a good idea though, if even possible. Take lesson from a master.)
Pros: Great production value (high quality, nice video editing). They spend a lot of time explaining each skill. I like the idea of the concept explanation and views from close up and multiple angles. Good for new Hapkido students or those curious about Hapkido. A good reference tool / guide to have.
You should go check out the preview videos on their website to judge for yourself. (Site URL is the same as their studio name.)

Heavy Bag Training Review

Heavy Bag Training
Average Reviews:

Finally there is a DVD on the market that deals with heavy bag workouts for the street. Every other DVD I have seen out there deals with the heavy bag for sport fighting. In this DVD, Mr. Franco shows how to use the heavy bag to maximize speed and power for delivering fight ending compound attacks on the street. This comprehensive production covers everything from the proper height level for the bag to strengthening the hands for punching. The disorientation drill is awesome. To be able to replicate the lightheadedness of getting hit and being able to keep fighting is priceless. This is an absolute gem for anyone that is serious about punching with speed and power in a street fight.

Malay Fighting Arts(c) - Mano Insayo (Hand Drills) Review

Malay Fighting Arts(c) - Mano Insayo (Hand Drills)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This product really has me torn. On the one hand, I realize that people have 'aha' moments when their art fits together in their mind and it is nice that someone puts those thoughts on video to benefit others. On the other hand, the advertising feels like a bit misleading.
The ad I saw for this only said Malay martial arts, and had a quote from Bob Orlando. I thought to myself 'I should get this, even sight unseen, because there's not a lot out there about Malay martial arts'. After viewing this video, there still isn't.
What he covers is basic hubud-lubud from Filipino arts. There is little here that one can't find elsewhere and, I'm sorry to say, the little that one might consider 'new' is an easy extrapolation. I would have been happy even with a unique application of the basic drills.
At one point he says "I don't think anyone else has ever put this on video" and I think, 'I have: Dan Inosanto, Paul Vunak, and Steve Grody, among others'.
He does this bit about the exercise not being called hubud-lubud, and that it's just a name. Whatever the veracity of this argument, he's still showing the same stuff.
He also does some things that I think are wrong, but to each his own. I would have found a discussion of stylistic differences interesting, but there were no explanations as to why they do things the way they do to even come to your own conclusions.
The production value is middling. At times, there's a child and someone else in the background. He does perform in front of a white area. A better production would have the performers fill the frame more. All that being said, while these things are noticeable, you can still hear and see the performers.
I suppose this video has some value for beginners. But truthfully, I find Steve Grody's videos are better.

Mastering the Combat Shotgun Review

Mastering the Combat Shotgun
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This video left a lot to be desired, and I cannot, in good conscience, recommend it to anyone. There are far better Defensive Shotgun videos available to spend your money on.
Aside from the production values, and sound quality in some sections of the video, there are numerous occasions where incorrect nomenclature is used (example - # 4 buckshot is consistently listed as "0000 buck". The word "gauge" is misspelled on the graphics throughout the video. This may seem insignificant, but in a SHOTGUN TRAINING video, the word "gauge" is pretty darn important.
The session on the "vast array" (or words to that effect) of shotgun ammunition available consists of Lenny slicing open a 00 buck shotshell and examining the components. That's it.
There is questionable gun handling practiced throughout the video. It advertises that it will show the viewer how to field strip a Remington 870 (far and away the most common "Combat" shotgun) but it does not.
There is some very old, and totally irrleveant footage of some sort of black powder firearms competition that has nothing at all to do with modern fighting shotguns.
As a pet peeve of mine, Lenny says "alright ?" so much throughout the video, that it became distracting. You're almost paying more attention to that than the educational part of the video. It became kind of like a drinking game after a while just waiting on the next "alright ?"
The people who will order this video, I'm afraid, are new shotgun shooters who won't be able to recognize how much bad information is in here. This must also be where all the good reviews come from...people new to Defensive Shotgun concepts who don't have anything to compare this to and thus, believe it to be good.
Skip this one. Seriously. Order Clint Smith's or Tom Givens' Defensive Shotgun videos.

Krav Maga: Basic Combatives Review

Krav Maga: Basic Combatives
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This DVD contains the basic techniques of Krav maga system. The techniques include attacks with hands (mostly punches with closed fist, but also hammer punches), elbows, knees and feet. There are some counterattacks and defences also included. At the beginning of the film they talk about angles of attack, target areas and stance & movement. As a DVD extra, they present focus mitt combinations to utilize in your training (they mention that they will produce an entire film on the subject in the future).
It is worth mentioning that they don't teach, or even mention the correct falling technique at all. Also, I think they should have taught also palm strikes, but for some reason they were left out. As palm strike is almost as effective as punch with a closed fist, but much more safe for your own hand, it should be included in everyones' arsenal. When instructing kicking techniques, they mention casually that you can kick also to the head. I think that they should have warned against that, because in real life, kicking above your own waist is considered risky, and generally not advisable.
The presentation of techniques varies from fair to excellent, the average being of good quality. In some techniques I learned some nuances I had not grasped in my Krav maga classes. Each technique opens up with a dramatized scene in which the technique is used. After that they present the technique at full speed, and after that in slow motion, and finally in learning stages. For some reason, they have chosen not to use slow motion of a full speed presentation of technique. Rather, the person presenting the technique is moving in slow motion, according to the instructions of off-screen narrator. This makes somewhat amateurish impression of the production.
Speaking of production, it is fairly OK. The film is shot with only one camera, but for the most part, it is shooting at the right spot. The techniques are presented in a studio against a black screen, but the dramatized scenes are shot in loading docks, restaurants, parking lots and so on. They use two narrators who take turns with narrating the techniques. The other narrator is International Krav maga federation head instructor Eyal Yanilov, and the other is U.S. chief instructor Darren Levine. Yanilov does not speak very good English, so from time to time it is hard to grasp what he is saying. Otherwise the production is good, and it's easy to understand the techniques.
As a Krav maga practitioner myself, I like the system. In this film, they have succeeded in presenting the basic techniques very well. There are some shortcomings, though, that reduce one star from the rating of this film.

Ultimate Krav Maga Self-Defense Instructional Set (Beginner to Intermediate) (2010) Review

Ultimate Krav Maga Self-Defense Instructional Set (Beginner to Intermediate) (2010)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The "Ultimate Krav Maga" 5 disc self-defense instructional DVD set provides a comprehensive program of self-defense based on the Israeli self-defense art of Krav Maga. It is an exceptionally well produced and informative program that covers a wide spectrum of self-defense principles and skills. For the person who does not have access to an instructor in person, or for the person who wants supplementary material to study at home, these five DVDs offer much to study and learn from.
Before I get into the actual instruction on the DVDs, I want to comment on the production values. They are top notch! The packaging is professionally done with good graphics and information on the box and on the disc faces. The actual filming was done with high quality equipment, interesting editing of inside and outside scenes, clear sound, text on screen to illustrate certain points, good angles, and so on. The DVDs have good menus and simply put, the production values are fantastic.
However, we all know that all flash and no bang doesn't give you much. I've seen some instructional DVDs that were well produced with a lot of flash that didn't teach anything worth watching. I've also seen some simply produced instructional programs that provide excellent instruction. This DVD set actually does both. Production values are high, and the material taught is solid and well done. I may do some things a bit differently and teach some things a bit different, but overall this is a really good solid program for self-defense and Krav Maga. The one thing I did not like as much was the length of the pauses when the text points were on the screen. Maybe it is because I read fast, but I thought those broke the flow of the program at times, but that's just me. The information was good for sure. Let's look at what the program covers.
Disc One is titled Your First Defense and the instruction is by Duncan Robert Pattle. He is the host of the program and teaches basics and fighting. After a short introduction to the program, the DVD goes into teaching about awareness, shielding objects, common objects to be used in self-defense, basic movement and stances, shadowboxing and movement, and then to some of the basic self-defense tools a person uses such as straight punches and palm strikes, front and roundhouse kicks, hammer fist strikes, hook punches, uppercuts, stomping kicks, and finally elbow and knee strikes. The instruction is good and basic. This DVD was designed for the person new to self-defense training and Krav Maga. The DVD ends with an example of pressure drills. It is approximately 81 minutes long. I was really glad they started out with the segment on awareness, because that is so important.
Disc Two is titled Your Natural Response to Danger and features John Whitman as the instructor. There is an introduction where you learn a bit about Whitman, and then the program goes into showing defenses against various attacks/holds. The attacks are: choke from the front, choke from the front with push, choke from the side, choke from behind, choke from behind with push, headlock bar arm, carotid choke from behind, sleeper hold, guillotine choke, headlock from the side, headlock from the side with roll, various bear hugs and there is also a section on preemptive strikes where Whitman teaches drills to hit first when you know a fight is unavoidable. The DVD concludes with a pressure drill. It is approximately 86 minutes long. I was familiar with the techniques taught by Whitman and he does a good job of teaching them. A few things I would teach a bit differently, but that's me. It was good instruction for those attacks/holds.
Disc Three is titled On The Street You Can't Tap Out and features Duncan Robert Pattle as the main instructor again but it also features instruction by Amnon Darsa. Areas covered: 360 outside defense, inside defenses, live side vs dead side, inside defenses with forearm, reflexive hand drills, stop kicks, scooping, defending high roundhouse, defending hook punch, fighting drills, an intro into ground fighting, defenses against tackling/shooting, backward breakfalls, forward breakfalls, forward rolls, getting up from the ground, defensive position on the ground, combatives on the ground, forward breakfalls with counter, defending punches when pushed to ground, defending soccer style kick on the ground, inside/outside defense on the ground, inside/outside defense against a stomping kick, bridging, front choke with push to ground, rear choke on the ground, headlock from the side on the ground, headlock from a seated position, and finally it concludes with another pressure drill. That's a lot of material and the disc is approximately 112 minutes long. The segments taught by Darsa were not as engaging due to Darsa's accent and he's not as articulate a speaker as Pattle and Whitman. This does not take away from the fact that he provides some very valuable teaching to this program. Again, I teach some things differently (like the breakfalls), but I recognize that there are more than one way to do some things.
Disc Four is titled Surviving Deadly Weapons and its focus is on just what the title says, weapon attacks. The instructor that teaches the defenses against gun, stick and knife attacks is Eyal Yanilov. He has an impressive background in Krav Maga and does a good job teaching the defenses on this DVD. They include: defense against upward and downward knife attacks, using common objects to defend knife, finishing modes for downward knife attack, finishing modes for upward knife attacks, defense against straight stab, defense against knife slash, defense against knife on the ground, defense against overhead stick attack, defense against two handed overhead stick attack, defense against baseball bat swing, defenes against handgun from the front, defense against handgun from the front with push, defense against handgun from the side, defense against long gun, and finally a pressure drill. The disc is approximately 76 minutes long. Yanilov is good at what he does, and he teaches well. However, I don't think I'll replace the gun defense techniques I teach and prefer with the ones he teaches on this program. Again, I understand differences, I just didn't care for some of these as well as I do other techniques I've studied and practiced.
The final disc, five, is only about 18 minutes long and is titled Injury Prevention. It features Dr. Vladislav Shut who covers warm ups and stretching along with Ian A. Novotny. Static and dynamic stretching are looked at and explained and an emphasis is put on dynamic stretching as being better for warming up and static stretching for cooling down. This is definitely not a full resource on stretching and flexibility, but it is definitely a good addition to this program because it is important for anyone who trains in any combative type art or program.
If the above were not enough, I'll also point out that the first four discs also have special features that add to this already voluminous program. I think one of the main benefits of Krav Maga is that they teach basics at high intensity. Both are valuable for realistic defense. If you learn and practice everything taught in this program, you will have a very good foundation. There is a lot here to learn and practice. This is a valuable resource for any self-defense and/or Krav Maga library.

Duke Roufus Muay Thai Instructional DVDs, 8 Amazing Volumes for Full Contact Kickboxing, Muay Thai & Mixed Martial Arts Fighting Review

Duke Roufus Muay Thai Instructional DVDs, 8 Amazing Volumes for Full Contact Kickboxing, Muay Thai and Mixed Martial Arts Fighting
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Having trained under some of the best Thai fighters in the world, I was curious to see what Duke Roufus had to offer. My conclusion was quick. Duke had a lot to offer, and then some! There are many Muay Thai DVDs, which will show you a technique. This one actually details the details, such as footwork and why you should move your footwork a certain way. As the techniques progress, you are still reminded (in details) why the basic footwork is such an important foundation. For the English speaking world, this DVD is also one of the clearest if not the clearest in terms of attention to details and explanation. Not only are explanations given, Duke also demonstrates why he explains things (for example a certain defense against the hook) a certain way. Alternatives are also explained, which allows the fighter to flow into another technique if one doesn't work or if the other is more applicable.
A beginner and even intermediate practitioners will suddenly realize that Muay Thai, which is often credited as being deadly because of simplicity, requires a lot more than you think in order to master that simplicity. Footwork, angle, stances, combos, strategy, etc. takes years to master and Duke explains them. You will no longer view Muay Thai as some one-kick art that you can learn in a day. The deadly simplicity takes much practice to know and apply well. Once again, Duke will give you a perspective into this reality.
In the past, I had doubted if Duke Roufus (who once criticized Muay Thai when he was much younger) would be able to actually put out a fine instructional Muay Thai DVD. Let's just say, he shut me up in a good way - and he shut me up good. This DVD is right on and is actually not just the best one in which an American teaches this Thai art; it is one of the best ones - if not the best one - period!
Combine this DVD with Malaipet's "The Muay Thai Clinch," and you will have a pretty comprehensive understanding of the art. (If there is any weakness with this DVD, it has to be that the clinch work covered is very basic and does not provide the more advanced techniques. Of course Muay Thai clinching is a whole art in itself, deserving its own volume.)
All in all, this is a 10-Star set regardless of how you look at it.

Ultimate Krav Maga Advanced Series Part 1: Striking, Fighting Tactics & Drills Review

Ultimate Krav Maga Advanced Series Part 1: Striking, Fighting Tactics and Drills
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Well I have got to emphatically state that the wonderful people who produced this and the Ultimate Krav Maga DVDs, really are above and beyond when it comes to customer service. I recently received this DVD and was thrilled by not only the speed of shipping, but also the care in which they took to make sure that I was one of the first people to receive this newest addition to the Ultimate Krav Maga DVDs series.
I just finished watching both discs about an hour ago and am now tickling the keys on the keyboard in order to give you my thoughts on the contents contained in this two-disc advanced set, which by the way builds upon everything you would have learned in the first set in the series, and is the first of a several volume advanced series that will be released over the next few years.
Now before I actually get into the nuts and bolts of the contents of these two-discs, let me first say that I especially liked the care they took in packaging this DVD set as it is a two-disc set and that automatically lends itself to the possibility of one or more of the discs being damaged during shipping. This can be easily remedied and was done so once again with this set. In between the two-discs, which be the way were securely fastened to their center holding clips on each side of the jewel case, was a piece of Styrofoam padding to make the discs more secure and less likely to become dislodged during shipping. Bonus points easily added for that!
I would also highly recommend that you get the first set of DVD's in the series, in order to make what is being taught in this set easier to understand and implement. However, if you already have an extensive background in Krav Maga or another self-defense discipline, then it shouldn't be too much of a hindrance if you don't already have the first set of DVD's, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to get it anyhow since there is always more that you can learn. So with that being said, on with the review.
THE INSTRUCTORS
Duncan Pattle
Rune Lind
Renee Nolte
Dana Ben Kaplan
DISC ONE:
REVIEW of TECHNIQUES
The first sixteen minutes was spent reviewing the following key combatives from the first DVD.
Stances and Footwork
Palm Strikes
Straight Punches
Hammerfist Strikes
Hook Punches
Elbow Strikes
Uppercut Punches
Knee Strikes
Front Kick
Stomping Kicks (which were actually Advantage Kick, Side Kick, and Back Kick) and
Roundhouse Kick
This was a nice review of what was previously taught in the first DVD set and was done rather quickly, but not overly so, and the instructors touched on all of the key points without making it too quick or drawing it out too long. I also really liked the little 30 second countdown clock that they had in the lower right hand corner of the screen and the key points of each technique coming up on the bottom of the screen in white text after the initial review of the technique was completed by the instructor.
ADVANCED TECHNIQUES
Spinning Hammerfist: (5 minutes)
Inward/Outward Chops (Knifehand Strikes): (6 minutes)
Forward, Back, Side, and Upward Headbutts: (9 minutes)
Offensive Back Kick: (6 minutes)
Spinning/Jumping Back Kick: (6 minutes)
Inside/Outside Slap Kick (Crescent and Reverse Crescent Kick): (4 minutes)
Heel Kick/Spinning Heel Kick: (6 minutes)
Each one of these section went into the proper execution and application of each of the techniques being taught. Now while I didn't necessarily agree with everything in this section, I did find a lot of useful information in it. Although I did have a small degree of difficulty with a couple of things, the first being how the back kick was being executed in the Offensive Back Kick section. This is not the correct way to execute the back kick and can lead to a whole lot of problems if executed the way it was being shown in this segment. I don't recommend that you execute the back kick this way and would highly recommend that you get the book; Back Kick: Achieving Kicking Excellence; Volume 1 (it is available here on Amazon), in order to learn how to execute the back kick correctly.
I did really enjoy the statement from the instructor during the headbutts segment where he tells you that you can actually hurt yourself worse with a headbutt than your opponent if you don't execute the headbutt correctly. This can also be said for pretty much any technique, and merely reemphasizes the fact that proper technique is where it's really at.
As was done during the review portion of this DVD, the key points of each technique came up on the bottom of the screen in white text after the initial instruction of the technique was completed by the instructor.
FIGHTING TACTICS
Counter Attacks against One Attacker
Counter Attacks against Two Attackers
Escaping Multiple Attackers
Attacking the Hands
Overwhelming the Attacker
This was the final section on the first disc and lasted approximately sixteen minutes.
There was some really good information in this section, but also a couple of things that I really didn't agree with. I mean what makes more sense and is easier to accomplish; approaching a brick wall and trying to; go through it, under it, over it, or around it? If you said around it, you have won the prize and are off to a better start than most. You will understand what I am getting at when you watch the Escaping Multiple Attackers segment.
DISC TWO
This disc consisted of various training drills that you can implement into your training to broaden your horizons and make your training more realistic and to prepare you for an actual violent encounter.
Some of these drills I already use, although I have modified them to some extent to my way of teaching, and have found them to be very effective. However, there were a couple of the drills that I thought might lend themselves to developing some bad habits, but maybe that was just me. So I will leave that conclusion to you after watching those segments in this section. This section was approximately forty minutes in length and contained the following drills.
Target Acquisition
Gauntlet Drill
Fight to Your Feet Drill
Zero to Sixty Drill
Zero to Sixty Drill under Low Light Conditions
Advanced Zombie Drill (You just got to love the name of this one.)
Distractor/Obstructor Drill
Staying in the Fight Drill
Simulated Knockout Drill
In conclusion, I would highly recommend this DVD set as it contained a lot of good information, although like I said earlier, if you already have an extensive background in Krav Maga or another self-defense discipline, you may already know a lot of the information contained on these two-discs. If you are new to Krav Maga, definitely buy this set along with the first set Ultimate Krav Maga DVDs.
I would also recommend the following Krav Maga books and DVD's:
Krav Maga: How to Defend Yourself Against Armed Assault
Krav Maga - Use of the Human Body as a Weapon Philosophy and Application of Hand to Hand Fighting Training System
ISRAELI COUNTER TERROR WARFARE DVDs COLLECTION
Street Krav Maga Combat Essentials for Real-World Self-Defense with Branimir Tudjan
Shawn Kovacich
Martial Artist/Krav Maga Instructor
Author of the Achieving Kicking Excellence book and DVD series.
