Nicklaus, Jack / Golf My Way Review

Nicklaus, Jack / Golf My Way

After renting this tape many times over the years, I was happy to find that Amazon.com carries it. I purchased it and at the same time purchased "Golf My Way -- The Full Swing". When they arrived, I found that this tape, "Golf My Way I -- Hitting the Shots" is the original tape that I have rented. I also found that "The Full Swing" is EXCERPTED from this one, so I returned it. It states that plainly on the cover, but that is not clear online. One only needs this one tape. Ordering both is not necessary.

Ron del Barrio's TURBO SWING: The Ten Minute Turbo Swing Review

I watched some tips on Youtube and thought he was really good. I had employed these about two years ago with success and rediscovered them. The tape is basic and his concept is the same-just some changes in instruction. I believe he is planning a new DVD. I would not have purchased this item had I previewed it first.

Jack Nicklaus - His March Through the Majors (2001) Review

Jack Nicklaus - His March Through the Majors (2001)
Average Reviews:

A magnificent look at golf's greatest player...wonderfully put together with fine commentary by Jim McKay and Jim Nantz. I was too young to remember Jack's earlier years, but this look at his 18 major championship victories has given me a new appreciation for what Jack Nicklaus has meant to the game of golf (and for what a daunting task Tiger has ahead of him!). His victories at places like St. Andrews and Pebble Beach are beautifully documented here, but the true highlight of this film is its dramatic look at his Sunday charge at the 1986 Masters...probably the most emotional and inspiring day in the history of the game. Jim Nantz walks us through Augusta's back nine on that incredible day in a segment that will leave you cheering (and wishing you had been there!).
Since the program focuses on Jack's victories, some of his classic duels with Tom Watson (particularly the 1977 British Open at Turnberry and the 1982 US Open at Pebble Beach) are omitted. However, there are enough gems in this 180-minute DVD to have you hitting putts in your living room and wishing that, just for a day, you could play the game like Jack Nicklaus.

After doing the Golfer's Yoga Warm-up I went out and played. I felt looser than I ever have and really felt like I was able to let it rip. I was hitting my drives 10 yards farther. I will recommend it to all my golfing buddies.

I treat non surgical back pain for a living and have done so for 25 years. If you are a golfer with recurrent back pain and follow the exercise routine in this DVD you may have less back pain after 4 to 6 weeks due to improved spinal "core stability". If you do the drills you will also hit the ball more solid and straighter more frequently. Following the DVD program over this past winter, I was recently able to escape the snow and play some golf in Maui. My second round in 4 months - I shot my handicap (10) at Kapalua, a PGA tour course I had never played before. Obviously, your milage will vary and simply "owning" the DVD will certainly not result in this kind of improvement. However, if you spend 1/2 hour 3 times per week you will notice an improvement in your core and extremity strength. Forget the gym membership, buy a physio ball and this DVD. This is probably the cheapest golf exercise/improvement DVD available and yet may be the best one you can buy at any price.

The Complete Game Instructional DVD Review

The Complete Game Instructional DVD

Great DVD. Purchased it to see Stan Explain via video the techniques he teaches in his books, the Art of the Short Game and the Art of Putting. Its a video of Mr. Utley, Mr. Hardy, and Mr. Cook speaking at a summit or convention.
Found the portion on Utley to be really really helpful. I was also pleasantly surprised by Mr. Hardy's explanations of the 1 and 2 plane swings. I had heard his theories before, but didn't really understand them until watching this DVD. I've since purchased his DVD's and books. And still find this DVD to be he best of the bunch when it comes to simply explaining the two swings and why someone would choose to try one over the other.
I agree with the first poster, the only thing that would be better is if they could have had some shots of actual swings using either Mr. Hardy or Mr. Utley's techniques. All in all found the video to be a great addition to my library.

Mind Mastery For Golf (DVD & CD) Review

Mind Mastery For Golf (DVD and CD)

"Using HK and your Mind Mastery For Golf program, I was able to win the International Qualifer For Asia at 6 under par and qualified for the 2009 British Open."
Gaganjeet BHULLAR
India"Too much as happened for it to be a coincidence that things turned around soon after your Mind Mastery For Golf program arrived. The First week brought a 3rd place finish in the PGA Eastern Regional Club Professional Championship in Virginia; followed 2 weeks later by a win in our local two day Atlantic City Pro Am.
Interesting enough the change was not that obvious in my game which has always been erratic but adequate, but more in the attitude that allowed me to get more out of my game. The most obvious change was in the putting where the fear seemed to disappear. A typical example would be standing over a putt as always, but when fear would try to control my thoughts my response would be, "You can do this just relax," and the voice was gone.
In the past when that would happen, I might respond the same way but the thought would push its way back in and distract me making the result hit or miss. Even worse, if I made the putt I came away more with relief and thinking I got away with something rather than with the confidence of accomplishment. That seems to have changed. I am referring anyone who will use your program and I hope they are following through."

"Since your Mind Mastery For Golf program arrived I have been shooting between 83 and 89, which is a considerably lower range than ever before. With our club Championship coming up I was very anxious to receive your program. It's a three day tournament over 36 holes. I came close to winning it last year, but mentally self-destructed on the final round. Last week I won our club championship by 7 strokes! I unseated the player that held the championship for the past 9 years! Along with the Championship, I'd definitely say that your program has taken me to new levels of my game, and I also think to inner peace, all in three weeks!
In addition to immensely improving my golf game, I'm also a calmer, more patient person, and, as a result, a happier person. My friends have noticed this. What an added benefit! The part of the your program on the `Right Hemisphere' has had such an impact on my life. Since I tend to be a `left hemisphere' personality, I now pursue `right hemisphere' activities to achieve the balance of using both hemispheres. I hike regularly, exercise, and have also taken the guitar up again. I actually play golf better if I play the guitar the evening or morning before I play a round of golf. Of course, this is in addition to setting my goals and listening to the CD.
I cannot emphasize what an impact your program has made in my life. I've never felt as at peace with myself as I do now. So, thank you Ernest, and thank you and Hemispheric Kinesiology."

"I have been listening to your Mind Mastery For Golf CD for over two months and I am very pleased and excited about the results. I am a 2 handicap and desire to consistently shoot par or better. After listening to your tape at home and in the car, I have been shooting, consistently even par and better at my home course. Just to let you know, on one occasion last month I listened to the tape three time in one day and went out and shot 9 under par on my home course. I will continue listening to the CD to help me with golf and my personal goals. Thank you for developing Hemispheric Kinesiology."

Fearless Golf DVD Training Aid: Mastering the Mental Game, By Dr. Gio Valiante (2009) Review

Fearless Golf DVD Training Aid: Mastering the Mental Game, By Dr. Gio Valiante (2009)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Fearless Golf's DVD series is a revolutionary approach to learning the mental aspect of Golf. I have read tremendous books including Dr. Bob Rotella's, Zen Golf, and Fearless Golf, however books were not able to give me the hands on visual instruction that I needed.
The DVD series explained to me the psychology behind fear on the golf course, how to overcome it, and the specific drills to ensure that I play on the course as well as I play on the range. The production quality is world class and Peter Kessler's voice is amazing. I found that interviews with Camilo Villegas, Appleby, Davis Love III, and others really helped hammer home the key points.
This is one of the best golf training products ever produced.

The SyberVision Impact Zone Personal Golf Mastery System Review

The SyberVision Impact Zone Personal Golf Mastery System

I purchased this product about two months ago, and so far I am very pleased with it. I purchased Bobby Clampett's impact book three years ago and I absolutely loved it. When I found this item while browsing Amazon one day, I just had to get it.
I have a lot of respect for Bobby Clampett and I loved how he explained the concept of his five Dynamics in his book, and to see him teach these dynamics in this training package is even better. As for the SyberVision part of this packaqe, I try to watch a little each day. I believe that it is helping me with my overall golf swing and I am looking forward to watching more of it.
If you are a fan of Bobby Clampett and his teaching philosophy, I would highly recommend this SyberVision program.

New Golf Training Technology Promises to Lower Your Handicap by 50% or More

Bobby Clampett, PGA Tour golfer and CBS Sports golf analyst studied great PGA tour golfers' swings to see what it was that made them great. Using CBS Sports' super slow motion SwingVision camera, Clampett discovered that eventhough these golfers all had different swing styles, they all impacted the ball (the deepest part of their divot) 5 to 6 inches in front of the ball.

Clampett then studied recreational golfers and learned they impact the ball 4 to 5 inches behind the ball a difference of up to 10 inches between hackers and pros.

Clampett learned that for every 1 inch recreational golfers move their divot forward, they would cut 4 strokes off their handicaps.

For example, if you are a 100-golfer (28 handicapper) and you could move your divot forward by 4 inches (the length of your baby finger) , you would quickly cut 16 strokes off your handicap.

Clampett then discovered 5 swing dynamics, that if learned, and made instinctual, would allow golfers at all levels to hit consistently in the positive impact score and dramatically reduce their scores. But how to do this? That's where SyberVision comes in.

Through extensive research at the Stanford University Neuropsychology Laboratory, SyberVision researchers learned how to take a filmed image of a model golfer performing a perfect golf swing and transfer than image into your body as if you had physically practiced the perfect swing--over and over again. As you watch the specially-edited SyberVision video your nervous system experiences the equivalent of hours of perfect practice in only a few minutes of viewing.

The end result is that you gain mastery over the golf swing and your scores plummet.

This powerful SyberVision visual learning technology was recently selected by Golf Magazines' Top 100 Instructors as the best golf video training ever!

In this program, Bobby Clampett introduces and explains his Impact Zone discovery and teaches the 5 dynamics. Clampett's swing is then presented using SyberVision's visual learning technology so that those dynamics and the perfect swing become a permanent part of your golf muscle memory.

Program Contents A complete, step-by-step training system on 4 disks.

1. Computer CD-ROM: Video-annoatated program introduction and interactive personal golf training and mastery guide. Plus, Bobby Clampett interview in which he shares how he made the impact zone discovery and details how it will revolutionize golf instruction and performance.

2. Impact Zone Clinic DVD: Bobby Clampett explains his impact zone discovery and teaches the 5 dynamics that allow golfers to quickly and easily cut their scores. Bobby also demonstrates 5 drills that help you get the feel for each of the 5 dynamics. You'll also see the correct impact zone swing modeled in super slow motion -- captured by the most powerful slow motion camera in the world.

3. SyberVision Muscle Memory Programming DVD: You'll learn about the SyberVision film-to-brain training system and experience the training as Bobby models each club from the driver to putting -- 60 minute of pure visual and muscle memory learning. Includes 7-minute "Muscle Memory Activator" and video.

4. Soundtrack CD: Through repeated watching of the muscle memory video, the images and sound (music and sweet spot golf sounds) become associated and linked in your mind. When you listen to the soundtrack by itself, the swing images stored in your mind are reinforced helping to further ingrain the correct swing dynamics in your muscle memory.

King of the Hills: Southern Hills 2007 PGA Championship Review

King of the Hills: Southern Hills 2007 PGA Championship
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
To understand the significance of Tiger's win at Southern Hills, one must first absord the entire lead up to what amounted to perhaps Woods greatest achievement. Tiger was in position at Augusta, at the Masters, on Easter Sunday, with a chance to win the whole deal. However, for the first time in his career he failed to answer the bell as Zach Johnson instead took his first Major Championship. You'll remember the infamous SI cover with Tiger breaking his club on a tree after a poorly executed shot out of the woods. It was a frustrating defeat to say the least.
Next came the US Open at legendary Oak Mont. Again, Tiger was in position on the Sunday of a Major and was unable to close the deal. What made this a particularly painful loss was the fact that there was an oppurtunity to win for his late Father Earl Woods who had passed away in 2006. As well, Tiger really played one of his greatest rounds of golf in the 3rd round when he hit on 15/18 greens in regulation. If you were watching that day, I'm sure you were thinking just as I was that he was going to seal the deal the next day. When it ended, it just didn't seem fair.
At the British Open at Carnoustie, Tiger lost it completely. He struggled through his first two rounds of golf and then at the start of his 3rd round he attempted to recapture the magic of Hoy Lake, where he left his driver in the bag. Well, his first shot ended up in the hazard, without trying to over power and use the driver. After the shot he looked about as lost as I have ever seen him and I became a fan of Tigers in the midst of his Majorless drought, so I have seen his struggles, saw them for a long time before I saw him win. Carnoustie was a wash.
Southern Hills. Sight of the 2001 US Open. So you know it's a difficult course. Southern Hills. Jack never won there. Woods and Nicklaus so similar and many believed that Tigers game didn't suit Southern Hills. It wasn't a bombers course. Not only did Tiger intellectually maneuver through the course, he used his super fit body to help him survive the over 100 degree heat, ALL 4 DAYS. His Legendary round on 62 1/2 (officially 63) on the par 70 would be the difference in the championship. However, the way he saved himself in rd 1 from being completely out of it cannot be ignored and his solid play in the 3rd was important as well. The Final Rd was an excellent example of controlled golf. At one time holding a 5 shot lead then watching it dwindle to 1 and having the grace and confidence to catch yourself before you fall completely and work the lead back to 2 and that ending up as the final margin, Woods -8, runner-up Woody Austin -6. Tiger was brilliant.
This Major kept him on track and re-affirmed that he is the most intelligent and fittest golfer on the planet. This may just have been his greatest performance and this dvd is a perfectly dosed out serving of another Masterpiece by Woods. 60 minutes of execellent highlights and perspective.
This is my favorite Tiger victory along with his win at Augusta in 2005, you know "The Chip!" year? The win for Pops. This PGA Championship was also the first Major that Sam, Tigers daugter attended. In his words "She's 1 for 1."
