Being a wrestler since 1967 and coach since 1995 this tape gives to the novice wrestler and parent the best understanding of wrestling that I have found. The tapes succintly provides the basic wrestling rules for the wrestling parent so that they can have a grasp of the rules and immediately enjoy the sport. The tapes go on to develop winning wrestling strategies that are universal to all winning students of the sport. I highly recommend these tapes to all wrestling programs who want to start a winning path from the beginning.

This is a great DVD that covers essential Need to Know positioning and movement from the bottom. This includes great drills. My son (11) went through the tape with me. By the third time we had the moves and drills on a note card and were practicing from there. My son was always getting turned and giving up back points in matches when he was on bottom, after three sessions he is already 50% better on the bottom and is improving every time we drill these fundamentals. He is NEVER on his belly anymore. Too often the fundamentals are given way to "moves" in wrestling practice. Very few kids know how to use their hips and really understand wrestling. This is the missing link in a lot of wrestling programs that I see out there. I wish I had this tape when I was wrestling 20 years ago.
One word of caution on the seller. I had the bottom position overnighted for 5 more dollars and it came as promised. I went ahead and ordered top and standing position videos and it is taking about 10+ days for them to arrive because they are taking their time shipping them. This is a little ridiculous. Plan accordingly.
