The virtue of this DVD is that it is like a beauty contest except that noone is asked their views on pollution or global warming, nor do they have to play the harmonica or have their trained monkey perform for the "talent competition". Better that a beauty competition be in a bikini and let the male chauvinist judges(and female ones) make the decision. Hooters is a large and powerful organization and as such, they have a wonderful cross-section of American women in this. In other words, it's pretty (darn) good...

2007 Isle of Man TT review Review

Grand stuff! Get ready to be amazed! Riders whizzing by stone walls at a 170 m.p.h. will grab your attention and gain your respect.
This is motorcycle racing in it's purest form. Wild speeds on closed public roads. At the Isle of Mann there is no run out like on a moto GP course, low side here and there is no airfence at the end of your slide. Hey, don't get me wrong I love watching GP racing and it's no walk in the park, this is just a different breed of cat.
The commentary is a hoot! The announcers truly love the sport. Thier easy style lends a nice balance to the knife edge competition and danger. I really liked the casual aplomb of their quips.
2007 being the 100th anniversary of this event made this year and this review historically significant. There are some good special features highlighting the original bikes with great footage of a wide variety of machines from the past. On board camera shots put video games to shame.
I was a little confused about the compatibility of these discs with my DVD player. This item is listed as "non DVD". NTSC is the North American format and they worked fine in my player.
Motorcycles as life blood. Fever pitch at the Isle of Mann. Life on the edge. Kick ass poetry in motion!

Kayak Outfitting, Outfitting Your Kayak For Fishing Review

I found this video to be excellent overall and it gives a great overview on getting your sit-on-top kayak (sorry - not much here for the sit-in kayak folks) ready for fishing by showing you how to properly install various equipment such as fishfinders, rod holders and even an anchor trolley system. I have been customizing my kayak in a similar fashion and was looking for tips on positioning items such as my anchor as well as how to install a fishfinder transducer internally and found spot-on information here. Cory does a great job of explaining how to install these items and even how to use a rivet gun to do some of it (it's the only way to install on certain blind spots on a kayak where you can't reach inside). He could have probably shown some of the more traditional, "homemade" ways many people rig their kayaks such as using PVC tubes for rod holders in plastic milk crates instead of buying all the equipment kits, as he recommends here, but this is nit-picking since you can't really go wrong with any of the kits and equipment that he uses. There is only so much you can get off the online youtube videos and written books (I probably own every one on kayak fishing including the one by Cory) and watching a professional kayak fisherman show you how it's done in this video format is as close to having him with you to guide you. I only wish I had watched this sooner before I began working on my kayak (especially the rivet gun piece).
