The History of the Trans Am Series 1966-1995 Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Bar none, the movie The History of the Trans Am Series 1966-1972 is the finest collection of footage and historical perspective on the halcyon (I just love that word!) days of Trans Am racing.
It is awesome to see Parnelli Jones dual it out with Mark Donohue along with other famous drivers of the period including Bob Tullius, Dan Gurney, David Hobbs and Sam Posey. Virtually all the Trans Am racers did Indy and NASCAR and Dirt, etc... The pony car era was a blast and this is a can't miss movie!

Can-Am Thunder: The Mighty Machines of the Series Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)A truly delicious Can-Am documentary. Top notch in content, presentation, as well as Pete Lyons narration. Vintage footage abounds and is interspersed with modern day footage shot at several vintage race venues. The film moves through a fairly chronological order of the racing and then moves into a more in-depth dissection of each car. Several of the eras drivers participate in modern day interviews. An added bonus is a lengthy interview with Can-Am builder Peter Bryant which is captivating for the hard core race fan as well as the newcomer. Brief biographies of some of the top names of Can-Am also abound.
This DVD is a must have for Can-Am or road racing fans. It is more than capable on its own, giving insight and a historical revisit of the glory years of road racing, but also is an excellent companion to Pete Lyons book `Can-Am' .

Can Am The Speed Odyssey Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Sam Posey takes you on an adventure of the Canadian-American series know as Can-Am.
Unlimited bore engines, the first winged race cars, first ground effects, lap times better than Grand Prix cars,.. not to mention the most powerful road race car ever built...917/30KL
This is Can-Am racing
Putting it to words the memories this has brought back is impossible.
I'm very fortunate to have grown up just outside Road America (my first race was around 1970)..its minutes from my back door.
To see Road America back in the day, without guard rails, is almost hard to believe.
All the tracks back then were raw and untamed, fitting for the Can-Am beasts.
Regardless of the type of racing that turns your crank,
Can-Am 'The Speed Odyssey' is a must have.
Go ahead,..TURN IT UP!!!
